Primary production is an essential part of New Zealand's economy. Agriculture, horticulture and related industries currently earn more than 50% of our total export income. These industries consistently compete against and beat competitors in challenging, and often, protected world markets.

Career opportunities are many and varied and graduates from a number of degree and diploma programmes that are highly sought after both within New Zealand and internationally.

These programmes offer a strong practical base, ensuring students have a broad understanding of the principles and practices of production, processing and marketing as well as the ability to choose areas of specialisation and if you wish to continue to Postgraduate study.

In addition to a tertiary qualification, many skills required for dairy farming can be learned on the job and there is a wide range of options available. For more information visit Go Dairy http://www.godairy.info/
